Dance classes:

MD Productions prides itself on teaching its own style of dance, Doforo Technique;

Doforo Technique is unique and exclusive to MD Productions and was created by owner and director of MD Productions Miguel Doforo.

Self taught choreographer Miguel Doforo discovered his passion for dance at the age of three. Since that day he has set about creating his own style of dance, taking influence from the greats of modern day such as Michael Jackson, James Brown, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Prince and Tina Turner and fusing together many different styles.

This technique is all about expression and passion that has to come from deep within a performer and is then displayed on the outside to an audience. We believe that many people can learn how to dance but not many people can become performers/ visual entertainers. There is a difference between the two, you have to be able to captivate entrance, move and inspire your audience both visually and mentally every time you perform.

When choreographing pieces Miguel draws inspiration from many different places, objects and sounds. The simplest place as being a dance studio, to a walk in the street, going shopping, on holiday, driving my car, travelling, at a theme park, a night out to watching peoples body language. It can come from anywhere at anytime and that will spark an idea that will grow into a whole performance or stage show. You must feel every beat, every sound and relate to the world in a song using your body to tell the story.

The most important thing for MD Productions is to use facial expression, it’s your tool. You use it to draw in your audience, make them believe what your feeling, if you are feeling it and showing it then your audience will too, this has to come from deep inside.

MD Productions has three dance schools in the Merseyside area and are soon to be opening more around the UK.

These schools offer classes for everyone from age 3 to adult.

The classes are split into three different age groups:

Infants 3-6 years, Juniors 7-12 years and Seniors 13+ years

5pm - 6pm: Infant Class
5pm - 6pm: Junior Class
6pm - 7pm: Senior Class

Wednesday:
5pm - 6pm: Infant Class
5pm - 6pm: Junior Class
6pm - 7pm: Senior Class

Thursday:
5pm - 6pm: Junior Class
6pm - 7pm: Senior Class
